Frequently asked questions
What is Web3Card?
A software platform for card programs: white-label app, dashboard and API, connected to several issuing partners within the Visa network. We provide the software, the infrastructure and the guidance. Cards are issued by the partners.
Is Web3Card a bank? Does it issue the cards?
No. Web3Card is a technology and integration provider, not a bank or a financial institution. Cards are issued by licensed and regulated partner financial institutions, pursuant to a license from Visa. The issuer of your program is disclosed in the proposal.
How do users fund the card?
With stablecoins: USDT or USDC, from their own wallet. Projects with their own token can offer conversion into stablecoin inside the flow, at market price and backed by the project's real liquidity.
Do cardholders need to pass KYC?
Yes. Every cardholder completes identity verification (document and liveness) before the first card. The flow runs inside your white-label app and is operated with the issuing partner. Your company goes through KYB (business verification) before launch.
In which countries can cards be issued?
It depends on the plan and the issuing partner. Each plan runs on a different issuer within the Visa network, in different jurisdictions. The country list for your program is confirmed in the proposal, after KYB. Acceptance is global: anywhere Visa operates.
How long does it take to launch?
On Early Access, we expect launch shortly after KYB and integration. On the program plans, the expected timeline is 4 to 8 weeks (Startup) and 2 to 3 months (Full Branded) after issuer and card network approvals. Final timelines are confirmed in the proposal.
Do the software and the card carry my brand?
The software is white-label from Early Access: app, dashboard or widget under your brand. On Early Access the card has a standard design; on Startup, a neutral premium design; on Full Branded, your own artwork, approved by Visa.
How much does it cost?
Early Access starts at $199 per month with a one-time $99 setup, plus a per-card fee and a funding fee, with no lock-in. Paying annually gives you 2 months free. The program plans are billed upfront, only after approval: you do not pay to apply. All amounts are in the pricing section; card network fees and issuer minimums are detailed in the proposal.
Who holds the users' funds?
On the program plans, the user spends straight from an on-chain smart account that only they control. On Early Access, the balance leaves the user's wallet at top-up time and is held on the issuing side as card balance. Web3Card does not hold client funds.
